Hi All,

I am a noob here, so I hope for some clarifying answers. I like what I see with JHShop, but it looks like there are some rough edges. For one, there seems to be a lack of detailed documentation on features.

Like shipping options - my question is - is there a shipping method that allows you to charge shipping based on order total?

I went looking for that in documentation, but do not find it. If I missed it, please let me know.

I am also in the USA. I told the shop to do currency as $dollars, but it still is showing the products as Euros.
Did I miss a option somewhere?

I bought a subscription, but I have not heard anything from anyone yet on the support ticket I put in. I hope my trust is not mislaid in this product.

Hi Techgal,

There is currently no support for shipping based on order total although that has just been added to the product wishlist and will be supported in an upcoming version.

We only support shipping based on weight and insurance based on the order total...at present.

Currency values are stored in cookies, so clear your cookies to see the currency changes take effect.

Yes, thanks, that does help. At least I know for the customer I am trying to setup now, this will not work for him. I am trying to talk them out of this particular shipping solution, but clients have their own mindset for what works for them. :)

One more thing that I find that is lacking in VM is the option to do multiples of the same type of shipping - for example, using flat rates, but needing different flat rates for US, Canada, International, etc. This is impossible to do unless you code your own solution (and I am not a programmer!).

So, I look forward to seeing your new improvements soon. I think you have a target date of August 16? I will check back in then.

Thanks for the note about the cookies. I thought I had, CTRL+F5, but will try again. I was also having issues in the demo with viewing product I added. Could be me though.
