I don't mind helping to spread the news, but I was more or less forced to do this to get the free download - before I had even tried the product! That seems backwards to me.

It seems from the forum posts that there are some issues with the product that might want to be addressed before you have many people come calling to get what they think is a rival to Virtuemart.

I like what I see, but the documentation seems very sketchy. If you want to WOW! people, give them the meat to back up the hype.

And since I will put my money where my mouth is - I did sign up as a subscriber. I would also volunteer for documentation writing duties - providing someone can give me the direction on how JHShop is laid out. (And for options to be named later.) B-)

I would be happy to market you in the USA - I have a stable of 30 sites I would be more than glad to change Virtuemart out on. Like most people, I would like it to be faster and easier to configure and teach. So maybe we can help each other?

Hi Techgal,

Thanks for your post. I'm currently working on documentation as we speak so this concern will be properly addressed within a few days and we'll have the first version of the JHShop manual out to help people with the basics of the component's functionality.

The issues which have been raised in the forums are not issues with the product per se, but rather some SERIOUS support challenges which we experienced for the month of July. Those issues are behind us and we're now working on squashing all reported bugs and releasing the new version of JHShop on 16 August.

Thereafter we will be putting a development freeze on new functionality until such time as we have all the soft issues resolved on JHShop ie. support, customer care, bugs, documentation, manuals, etc...
