JHShop can be templated, Due to the nature of the design pattern used (MVC) it does not take a code Guru to do this, as long as you understand HTML and CSS you can change the entire design of the store.

First create a folder in the
components/com_jhshop/view/theme/YOURTEMPLATE/ (replace YOURTEMPLATE with a template name)
in that folder create the template and stylesheet folders to store the items required there

You must create a common/header.tpl in the template folder aswell as your css file in the stylesheet folder, the rest of the files are on a as needed basis

If a template file is not found in your folder, it will revert back to the default template file.
